Pellston Village Historical Society

A group of local volunteers intent on preserving the history and heritage of the Village of Pellston and the other surrounding areas through a small local museum located in our old rail depot.

Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 11:00am -4:00pm

The historic train depot in Pellston, Michigan is brimming with relics from our town's history! It won't cost your family a thing to come in and explore the selection of items that help us remember what it was like to live in the days when railroads were the way to travel and logging was the way to make a living.

Historic photos cover the walls and a slide show loops continuously. Glass cases contain antique tools, household items and documents depicting our town's charming history.

Newly Added: A firefighting room dedicated to the men and women who have served as volunteer fire fighters in our community over the decades! Come see the tools and how things have changed over the years.

Our latest display brings the tools of the lumbering trade to life by putting visitors in the woods themselves.

Think you know your Pellston History? All summer long, kids can do a scavenger hunt by observing the items in the musium and win a prize!
