Building Permits, Licensing and Inspections
Building Permits, Licensing and Inspections are the responsibility of the Planning Comssion/Zoning Board and the Zoning Adminstrator. Please contact Randy Bricker at 231-838-4499 with any requets and/or concerns. All building, electrical, plumbing & mechanical permits are required to be filed with the Emmet County Building Department as well.
Specfic zoning responsiblities include but are not limited to:
- Enforcing Codes, Ordiances and Regulations
- Reviewing Building Plans
- Issuing Zoning Permits
- Conducting Building Construction Inspections
- Working with the Planning/Zoning Board
- Condeming and Overseeing the Removal of Hazardous Buildings
- Enforceing Codes, Ordinances and Reulations regarding debris and abanded property within the Residental, Commercial or Industrial areas of our Community, for the general welfare and health of our community.
