Water System Updates

The municipal water system has passed with over 90% of those that voted in favor.  The Village can now proceed with the grant funding and design work.  

Upcoming Municipal Water System Ordinance & Service Agreement

The Village is preparing to adopt an ordinance related to the development and implementation of the Municipal Water System.

This ordinance will outline:

The structure and governance of the municipal water system
Connection requirements
Water usage policies
Rates and billing procedures
Maintenance responsibilities
Compliance standards

What This Means for Property Owners:

All property owners within the designated water service area will be required to review and sign a Water Service Agreement to formally opt in for municipal water service.

Signing the agreement will:

Reserve your connection to the system
Confirm your participation in the project
Establish billing and service responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the adopted ordinance

Failure to return a signed agreement by the stated deadline may delay or impact your ability to connect to the system.

Timeline:

Ordinance Adoption: March 2026
Water Service Agreements Distributed: May 2026
Agreement Return Deadline: July 2026

Additional public information meetings will be scheduled, and residents are encouraged to attend to ask questions and learn more about the project.
